Breast Cancer Program: Dr. Chew is responsible for coordinating surgical, medical and radiation oncology services and clinical trials for breast cancer. Her research interests involve cancer genetics, notably breast cancer genes BRCA1 and BRCA2. Dr. Chew recently published research examining how the protein NoRPl affects the expression of BRCA 1. She has grants studying cancer genetics and chemo-prevention of breast cancer. While at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, she was medical director of the Cancer Prevention and Risk Assessment Clinic.
